THE PROBLEM:
The company needed to have clean out and service of its
central coolant system, but lacked expertise and resources to complete the
job during scheduled shutdown. Waste disposal companies could handle
pressure washing and general cleaning, but could not evaluate and repair
system mechanicals. Production uptime is critical to the manufacture and they wanted a true production maintenance program, not
just a machine and sump cleaning.
Production was suffering and the alternatives of outsourcing or
moving the job to other equipment within the same plant were
not desirable to our customer
THE HARRIGAN SOLUTION
Harrigan Solutions was contracted to complete a plant production maintenance. We put together a
detailed plan based on equipment history and initial evaluations, with an understanding of typical
wear components. We contacted appropriate plant personnel and worked with them ahead of time
to eliminate surprises.
RESULTS
The project was completed ahead of schedule, with all quality expectations met or exceeded.
The manufacturer also benefited from a 50% reduction in labor and supplies compared to customer
expectation, based on previous service.
